WILKES-BARRE — A Plymouth man charged with causing a fatal crash in a road rage incident in August will stand trial in Luzerne County Court on Oct. 20.

Judge Tina Polachek Gartley scheduled the trial for Lorenzo Burgos, 22, of Third Street, during a pre-trial conference on Friday with his attorney, Vito Deluca, and Assistant District Attorney Chester Dudick.

State police at Wyoming and Plymouth police allege Burgos struck Fred John Kleman Jr. with a vehicle on Nottingham Street, Plymouth, on Aug. 14.

Authorities suspect Burgos intentionally struck Kleman who had yelled at him to slow down. Burgos allegedly told authorities he accelerated his vehicle intending to come to a quick stop to intimidate Kleman.

Gartley said she will have a pre-trial hearing on Oct. 3 before the trial.
