KINGSTON — Police early Monday morning arrested Donald Wileman on charges he stabbed Paul Lazzaro in the neck during an argument inside an apartment at 947 West Market St.
Police said they found Lazzaro sitting on a sidewalk by the apartment building just after 1 a.m. with a stab wound to his neck.
Lazzaro was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center for treatment.
A witness told police Wileman and Lazzaro were inside an apartment talking about their military service when an argument erupted between the two men. During the argument, a witness told police Wileman pulled out a knife and stabbed Lazzaro once in the neck, according to the criminal complaint.
Police recovered a 6-inch knife that they believe is the weapon used in the stabbing.
Wileman was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of simple assault and harassment. He was lodged at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail.
