WILKES-BARRE — A suspect held a knife to a clerk during a robbery at Turkey Hill at Hazle Street and Wilkes-Barre Boulevard early Wednesday morning, city police said.
Police said a white man, 40s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, thin build, brown hair and wore a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants entered the store at about 3:48 a.m.
The suspect held a knife to the clerk’s back. The clerk turned around and the suspect then held the knife to the clerk’s stomach demanding money from the cash register, police said.
The suspect ran out of the store and was last seen running toward Columbus Avenue with cash in a Turkey Hill plastic bag, police said.
Police said the clerk was not injured.
