It was a noticably colder morning, a trend that will carry on for the Wyoming Valley throughout the weekend.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 57 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. A few lingering clouds could be seen, but the sun was the focal point of the morning sky.
Sunny skies will continue for the rest of the day, with a high in the lower 80s. Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight, with a low in the lower 50s.
Partly sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, followed by clear skies on Saturday night. The high on Saturday will be in the mid 70s, while Saturday night’s low will be in the lower 50s.
Sunday will also, fittingly, have sunny skies, with a high near 80 degrees. Clear skies will carry on into Sunday night, with a low in the upper 50s.
