WILKES-BARRE — A woman from Wilkes-Barre accused of slashing another woman with a razor knife inside a tavern was sentenced to state prison.

Luzerne County Judge Fred Pierantoni III sentenced Doreen Smith, 43, of South River Street, to 18 months to three-years in prison on two counts of aggravated assault. Smith was also ordered to serve two years probation after she is released from prison.

City police said Smith slashed Jennifer Babkowski with a razor knife and kicked Bryan Reyes in the face during a fight inside Godfather’s Bar on Brown Street on Oct. 23, 2010. Kevin Wheeler suffered a neck injury during the fight, according to the criminal complaint.
