The electric companies remind customers that reporting an outage is important.

Reporting an outage helps the companies evaluate damage and prioritize response. Many customers assume the companies know about all outages, but they may not if they haven’t heard from the customers.

To report a power outage to PPL, call 1-800-DIAL-PPL (1-800-342-5775) and select option 1.

To report a power outage to UGI, call 1-800-276-2722 and select option 2.

Anyone who knows of any UGI customers without power who are elderly and may need aide are asked to call the same number, UGI advises.
