Man charged with criminal trespass in Plains Twp. after K9 finds him in closet

PLAINS TWP. — Police reported Robert Cool of Hazleton was charged with criminal trespass Sunday after a police K-9 dog found him hiding in a closet in a vacant building.

Police responded to the building at 73 Maffett St. at 12:18 a.m. for a report of someone trespassing.

Pittston Police K-9 dog Blitz and Jenkins Township police assisted in the investigation. The dog located Cook in an upstairs closet.

Cool was wanted by Kingston and Wilkes-Barre police and taken into custody. He was transported to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility and lodged.
