WILKES-BARRE — City police said a white man with a tattoo on his neck and right arm robbed the Turkey Hill store on North Pennsylvania Avenue early Monday morning.

The suspect entered the store at about 1:44 a.m. and waited until other customers left before placing items on the counter. The suspect displayed a knife telling the clerk, “Give me the money,” police said.

Police said the suspect ran out of the door and to the rear of the store where he got into a black colored vehicle. He wore a red shirt that said Old Navy, jean shorts and a black hat worn backwards, police said.

A witness told police the suspect had a tattoo on the right side of his neck possibly a name that started with “M,” and a tattoo on his right arm.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Wilkes-Barre police at 570-208-4200 or 911.
