SCRANTONThe Commonwealth Medical College has announced the election of three new members to its Board of Trustees.

John J. Menapace, Edith Mitchell, M.D., and Gregory Threatte, M.D., joined TCMC’s Board, effective June 25.

“We are delighted to welcome these three distinguished professionals to our Board of Trustees,” said TCMC President and Dean Steven J. Scheinman, MD. “Their deep understanding of health care and the breadth of their professional experience will be extremely valuable to the Board in guiding the future of TCMC.”

Menapace is president of Menapace Business Consulting, a human resources consulting firm in Clarks Summit.

Mitchell is clinical professor of medicine and medical oncology and program leader, gastrointestinal oncology at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.

Threatte retired in 2013 as professor and chair of the Department of Pathology and deputy to the president for Minority Affairs at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
