WILKES-BARRE — Police responded to a report of shots fired into a home on Chester Street just after midnight Sunday morning, police said.

Officers said they spoke with a 16-year-old boy, who told them he was home alone on the porch and saw a black Dodge sedan with four occupants, two of whom, both black males, exited and approached the residence, the police report said.

According to the report, the boy told officers he found this odd and went inside, secured the door and went to a bedroom where he called police. He said he heard gun shots and the glass of the front storm door breaking, police said.

The report said officers recovered spent casings on scene which they processed as evidence.
