PLAINS TOWNSHIP — A North River Street dollar store was robbed by a knife-wielding man Saturday evening, township police Sgt. David Abraham said today.

Police were called to the Dollar Saver, 1233 N. River St., at 7:37 p.m., for a report of an armed robbery, Abraham said.

A clerk told officers that a man came into the store brandishing a knife and demanded money from the register. He then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, Abraham said.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect has been described as white, in his mid 30s, approximately 5’9” tall with a medium build, blue jeans, baseball hat and sunglasses.

Anyone with information may call 911 or Plains Township police at 570-829-3432.
