HAZLETON — A driver was ordered out of their car at gunpoint early Saturday morning near the 4th and North Laurel streets intersection, but managed to escape unharmed.

City police said a masked man with a gun stepped in front of the vehicle around 3:40 a.m. and ordered the driver out of the car. The man then fired two shots into the front of the car.

The driver, whom police have not identified, then fled the scene uninjured.

Police are investigating. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Hazleton Police by dialing 911.
