Summer’s hot and humid air continues this week with much sun in the forecast, at least until Saturday.
Today’s highs are to reach the mid-80s with increasing sunshine, according to predictions from the National Weather Service. Humidity for the region currently is at 83 percent, which will create that muggy stickiness synonymous with deep summer.
Isolated thunderstorms and cool temperatures are on the way this evening, but clouds are to clear out on Friday. High temperatures Friday are expected to reach 88 degrees.
During her weather forecast this morning, WNEP-TV meteorologist Noreen Clark said darker skies could be on the way this weekend.
“On Saturday we’re going to have this cold front moving across Pennsylvania … lots of clouds,” Clark said.
There’s a 70 percent chance for rain all day Saturday and more rain into the evening. Skies should clear for Sunday with a high of 73 degrees.
