Members of the Pennsylvania State Police Meth Lab Team enter a home at 125 Carlisle St. in Wilkes-Barre Wednesday night after city police responded there to a report of an unattended child in the home. When police arrived, they said they found two adults passed out on the floor, the home in ‘deplorable’ condition and children inside who ‘appeared to be uncared for.’ Police said they found methamphetamine in plain view and several items related to a meth lab in the basement. Officers also seized methamphetamine and two handguns. The residence was condemned by city Code Enforcement. The adults inside — Amanda Andes, 23, and Stephen Thrush, 28 — were taken into custody pending child endangerment and drug related charges, police said.
