Dorothy P. Brennan, 81, of Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, died Thursday at
Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born Jan. 2, 1921, in Larksville, she was a
daughter of the late Martin and Isabelle (Roarty) Kane. She graduated from the
former Larksville High School. Before retiring, she was an office manager for
Stroud’s Wholesale Distributing, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of St.
Ignatius Church, Kingston, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was preceded
in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Young; sisters, Helen Connell and Anna
Bolte; and brother, James Kane. Surviving are her sons, James F., West
Wyoming, and Frank M. Pembroke, Pines, Fla.; eight grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Yanchuk, West Pittston; and nieces and
nephews. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. today from the Hugh P. Boyle & Son
Funeral Home Inc., 333 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial
at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Chapel, North Loveland Avenue and Hoyt Street,
Kingston. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Pringle. Memorial
donations may be made to the St. Ignatius Building and Renovation Fund, 339 N.
Maple Ave., Kingston, PA, 18704.
