Nym Seward
   
July 7, 2002
    ym K. Seward, 80, of Orlando, Florida, died Sunday at Sand Lake Hospital,
Orlando.
   
Born in Luzerne, he was the son of the late Calvin and Effie (Johnson)
Seward. He graduated from Luzerne High School in 1941 as class Valedictorian.
He also received a B.S. in chemical engineering from Lehigh University,
Bethlehem, in 1947. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a chemical engineer
for Dupont Corp. in Wilmington, Del. He served overseas in the U.S. Navy
during World War II. He lived in Florida for the past year. Before then, he
lived in Wilmington.
   
He was preceded in death by his brother, Warren K.
   
Surviving are his wife, the former Gloria Florey; daughter, Debora,
Orlando, Fla.; sister, Norma Keating, Blairstown, N.J.; and nieces and
nephews.
   
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday from the Hugh B. Hughes &
Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with the Rev. Donald A.
Roberts Sr. officiating. Interment was private at Denison Cemetery,
Swoyersville.
