FORTY FORT — Luzerne County Coroner William Lisman said dental records will be required to confirm the identity of a woman found dead in a vehicle fire in the rear of Edward’s Landscaping Service off River Street Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters discovered the body while battling the blaze just before 1:30 p.m.

Police and Luzerne County detectives including the state police Forensic Services Unit responded to the scene.

Edward’s employee Bill Bruch said he was inside an office when another employee said there was smoke in the rear of the property. Bruch said he initially thought it was a brush fire but quickly learned a vehicle was on fire.
