After a weekend of abnormally warm temperatures, cold temperatures will return to the Wyoming Valley this week.
Roads are still wet as of 7:30 a.m. due to light rain showers still lingering in the area. Forecasts predict that the rain should taper off as the day progresses. Temperatures are expected to reach the low 50s today, but will plummet to the mid 20s tonight.
Scattered snow showers are expect tomorrow in the afternoon hours, with a high near 32 degrees. Less than a half inch of snow is expected, followed by partly cloudy skies on Tuesday night with a low around 14 degrees.
Mostly sunny skies are expected on Christmas Day, with a higher near 26 degrees. Precipitation is currently not predicted through the rest of the week.
