WILKES-BARRE — City police allege Misty Machinshok watched her husband rape a teen girl numerous times.

Police further claimed Machinshok encouraged the girl to have sex with her husband, Gary Machinshok, whenever she left their Park Avenue house to play bingo, according to the criminal complaint.

Gary Machinshok, 28, was arrested in November on numerous rape-related offenses. He remained jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on Tuesday for lack of $100,000 bail.

Misty Machinshok was arraigned on 10 criminal conspiracy counts involving rape and sexual assault. She was jailed at the county prison for lack of $100,000 bail.

After Gary Machinshok’s arrest, police learned that his wife was aware and even encouraged the girl to have sex with her husband, the complaint says.

The girl said Misty Machinshok gave her advice and told her what to do while she was allegedly being raped by Gary Machinshok, according to the complaint.

Police allege Misty Machinshok helped clean the girl after having sex.

Gary Machinshok allegedly told police it was their plan to get the girl pregnant and raise the baby as their own because Misty Machinshok was unable to have children, the complaint says.

A preliminary hearing for Gary Machinshok is scheduled on Thursday. A preliminary hearing for Misty Machinshok is scheduled on Jan. 21.
