Anthony White Jr., a Wilkes-Barre Department of Public Works employee, was busy filing a pothole on Scott Street on Wednesday morning. The recent winter storms along with rapid and frequent freezes and thaws have created a growing number of potholes all around the city and the area. At least the extreme cold seems to be on the wane, for now at least. For the story, see page 3A.
