The National Weather Service in Binghamton, N.Y., has issued a winter weather advisory on Saturday from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the potential of two to four inches of snow.

Light to moderate snow is expected with periods of blowing snow throughout the day.

Snow will overspread the region Saturday morning and is expected to continue through the day. Temperatures will reach into the middle 20s with winds of 10 to 20 mph gusting to 35 mph.

The combination of falling snow and strong winds will create near whiteout conditions at times across the area.
