The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Wyoming and Lackawanna Valleys, as well as portions of the Pocono Plateau.

The warning will go into effect from 10 p.m. this evening to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Steady snow is expected to fall throughout the region this evening, beginning between 10 p.m. and midnight. The heaviest of the snowfall is expected between 3 a.m. and 11 a.m., where snowfall could fall at a rate of an inch per hour.

Anywhere from 6 to 10 inches of snow are expected, with the highest totals expected to the north of Scranton.
