It was a quiet start to the middle of the week this morning.

Red skies gradually gave way to cloudy skies as the morning progressed. Temperatures hovered in the upper 20s to lower 30s, and temperatures are expected to climb throughout the day.

Some precipitation is also possible — fortunately, it looks like it will mostly be rain.

The National Weather Service predicted rain, freezing rain and snow before 10 a.m. today, followed by a chance of showers during the afternoon hours. Today’s high is expected to climb to about 40 degrees. Little or no snow and ice accumulation is expected.

Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight, with a low in the mid 20s.

Cloud cover will increase once again tomorrow, with a slight chance of some showers after 4 p.m. The high will climb to the lower 40s. Showers are expected after 11 p.m. Thursday night, along with patchy fog. The low will drop to only 38 degrees.

Shower are expected before 1 p.m. on Friday, with the high climbing to the upper 40s. Cloudy skies on Friday will give way to clear skies on Friday night with a low in the mid 20s.
