It was a cloudy start to the day, with warmer temperatures that made last week’s winter storm seem like an afterthought.

Rain is expected today, along with the possibility of some thunder and lightning.

The National Weather Service predicts showers and thunderstorms before 3 p.m., followed by a chance of showers into the evening hours. Today’s high will climb to 44 degrees. Stormy skies will give way to clear skies tonight, with a low in the upper 20s.

Sunny skies are expected for Saturday with a high in the upper 40s. Clear skies are expected once again on Saturday night with a low around 30 degrees.

There will be a chance of snow showers on Sunday before 1 p.m., followed by a chance of rain and snow showers in the afternoon hours. The high is expected to reach the mid 40s. There will be a slight chance of snow showers on Sunday night, with the low dropping to the upper teens.
