WILKES-BARRE — A man from Ohio in search of heroin inside an East Northampton Street residence where a man was gunned down will face criminal homicide and burglary charges in Luzerne County Court.

District Judge Martin Kane forwarded the case against Lamar Curry-Davis to county court after a preliminary hearing today.

City police and county detectives allege Curry-Davis forced his way inside a residence on East Northampton Street looking for heroin when he was confronted by Eduardo Madera, 46, on Nov. 6.

Curry-Davis fired multiple rounds from a handgun striking Madera, authorities allege.
