Oak Street in Pittston Township, a major connecting route between State Route 315 and the Pittston By-pass, will be closed to traffic March 31 through April 11, for repairs to a railroad crossing.
Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad announced it will replace what is known as Oak Street Crossing.
Detours will be placed to reroute traffic during the period.
Pittston Township supervisors announced at a meeting on March 17 that the township received high grades on its 2013 audit. Mike Fiorelli of Fiorelli & Associates said the review reflected “the highest level of compliance with no discrepancies.”
All class reunion
An All Class Reunion for graduates and those who attended Pittston Township High School will be held on Sept. 1, it was announced after a committee meeting at Savo’s Restaurant. The next committee meeting is scheduled for March 27 at 6 p.m. at Savo’s in Pittston Commons. The meeting is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
The reunion is open to anyone who attended Pittston Township schools at any time and also to any resident of Pittston Township.

Pittston Twp. Recreation Board will sponsor an Easter Party for children at St. joseph Marello Parish Center, 237 William St., Pittston, on Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. an Easter Egg hunt will follow at Tony Attardo Memorial Park from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
The party is for children ages infant to 12 years old. The Easter Bunny will attend.
Pittston Twp. Little League presents a Wise Crackers Comedy Fundraiser at Mohegan Sun Casino on Friday, April 25, with show time at 9 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m.
