WILKES-BARRE — City police are seeking witnesses to a crash on the Market Street Bridge where a woman was struck by a vehicle on Sunday.

Police said Rebecca Filipski, of Peckville, a student at Wilkes University, was struck by a vehicle driven by Keith Yekel of Wilkes-Barre at about 5:23 p.m.

Police said Yekel was traveling east in the right lane on the bridge when he struck Filipski, who was crossing Market Street near Kirby Park.

Filipski was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center for severe injuries, police said.
