The Falls Active Adult Center, sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne/Wyoming counties, recently celebrated its Easter luncheon followed by a special musical program with singer and songwriter, Ronnie Schoonover.


Anyone 50 and older is invited to the following activities:


Monday: 1-2 p.m. Crocheting and Craft club


Wednesday: 10:30-11:15 a.m. Walking group; 1-2 p.m. Garden Club


Friday: 9:30 a.m. to noon Geocaching group


Wednesday, April 23: Volunteer Luncheon and recognition. There will be several musicians playing music from 11 a.m. to noon. Following lunch there will be a special recognition program for all volunteers.


Monday, May 5: 10:30 a.m. to noon, Book club meets to discuss, “The Invention of Wings” by Sue Monk Kidd


The craft group from the center would gratefully appreciate any donations of old buttons. Anyone wishing to join the center for a hot meal at noon should RSVP to Twila at 570-388-2623 by 12:30 p.m. the day before. The center is open from 9 a.m to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.
