WILKES-BARRE — City and state police investigators teamed up to arrest seven people — three of whom who had Philadelphia addresses — in four separate drug buy-bust operations. The busts Thursday netted large amount of heroin, crack cocaine and two firearms.

A rifle seized during the arrests of three people was reported stolen to state police at Shickshinny.

Authorities arrested Marissa A. Ramos, 23, Jorge Esay Mojica, 23, and Bryan Mojica, 19, all from Philadelphia, on Scott Street. Nearly 200 heroin packets, a loaded 9mm handgun with an altered serial number and a loaded rifle were found during their arrests, authorities said.

Authorities said Ramos and the two brothers were known to sell heroin on Carey Avenue, Susquehanna Street and other areas in Wilkes-Barre.

Heroin packets were allegedly found in Ramos’ purse and the trunk of a vehicle they were operating.
