You know the songs. Now you’ll se able to see them performed live on stage.


Phoenix Kids will present Schoolhouse Rock Live at Phoenix Performing Arts Centre, 409 Main Street, Duryea. The show opens Friday, May 16, with a performance at 7 p.m. and continues on Saturday, May 17, with shows at 2 and 7, and on Sunday, May 18, with a matinee at 2.


The show is based on the 1970s’ Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs such as “Conjuction Junction”, “Just a Bill” and “Three is a Magic Number”?


Tickets are $10 for general admission and $6 for children 10 and under. For tickets, call 570-457-3589.


Director/choreographer is Lee LaChette. Musical director is Jenn Johnson. Asst. director/choreographer is Jade Casella and second 2nd asst. choreographer is Gina Pettinato.


RENT the musical wrapas up today, Sunday, May 11, with a matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets at $12 may be obtained at the door.
