Maria DeMuro Winters, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph DeMuro, of Pittston, recently graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a Ph.D in organic chemistry.
Winters graduated from Seton Catholic High School in 2003 and was a member of the basketball and cross country teams. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, magna cum laude, from King’s College in 2007. She earned her master’s degree in chemistry from Bryn Mawr College in 2010.
Winters will continue her career at York College of Pennsylvania as a professor of organic chemistry. She and her husband, Justin, reside in Phoenixville.
Haducks earn honors
at Keystone College
Christopher J. Haduck and Mike Haduck, both of Avoca, have been named to the honors list at Keystone College for the spring 2014 semester.
Dr. Dorbad receives
Michael Anthony Dorbad II, of Exeter, was among 273 graduates awarded the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine at the College’s 123rd commencement. Dr. Dorbad is the son of Susan and Michael Dorbad and the brother of Stevie and David Dorbad, of Exeter. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from King’s College in 2010. Dr. Dorbad is continuing his medical training in anesthesiology at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Rachel Freed, daughter of Carol Ann English, of Pittston Township, celebrated her 14th birthday on July 3. Rachel has a brother Max, 8 years old.
