Congestion in certain areas of the Wyoming Valley could add a few minutes onto the morning commute.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstate 81, while minor congestion is reported on Interstate 476 south of Route 115. Scattered minor congestion is reported on Route 315, while some heavy traffic is reported on Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion this morning, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, commuters could encounter some minor congestion on Mundy and Kidder streets.

Some scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported throughout the downtown area. Some affected streets include:

• Wilkes-Barre / South Wilkes-Barre boulevards

• Hazle Street

• Academy Street

• Public Square

• North / South River streets

In Kingston, some areas of heavy congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue.
