Gladys D. Bell, 94, of Exeter, died March 26, 2010, in the Laurels Health and Rehab at Kingston.
Born in Laceyville, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Harriet Newman Bell. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Consolidated Cigar, formerly of West Pittston, for many years. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Cosmopolitan Club of Exeter.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Thomas R. Bell; son Thomas P. Bell; grandchildren, Ronald Bell and Jodie Donahue; brothers, James, Clarence, Charles, Robert and Ronald Bell; and sisters, Joan Bell, Edna Donnelly, Audrey Batcher and Betty Wruble.
Surviving are children John Bell and his wife, Pamela, Exeter; Mary Wascalis, Endicott, NY; Robert Bell and his wife, Joan, Harding; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brothers Donald and Harold, both of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter. Entombment Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Sunday, from 5 to 7 p.m.
