WILKES-BARRE - For the second time in less than two weeks, the same Turkey Hill store was robbed, adding to the growing number of store robberies in the city.

City police said a black man, about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, brown eyes, large build, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, maroon gloves, light blue jeans, a two tone blue jacket, a tan baseball hat and a tan bandanna that covered his face entered the Turkey Hill on South Main Street just before midnight Wednesday and demanded money from the cash register.

A clerk at the store told police the man asked for cigarettes before demanding money.

Police said surveillance video is being reviewed.

The same Turkey Hill store was robbed at about 1:45 a.m. on June 15 by a man, about 6 feet 4 inches tall, with a scarf covering his face.

On the same day, June 15, the Turkey Hill store on Carey Avenue was robbed at about 2:45 a.m. by a man with a scarf covering his face.

The Uni-Mart convenient store on Hazle Avenue was robbed by a man at about 9:43 p.m. on June 23.
