KINGSTON - Michael Rosario appeared bare foot and Michael Pezzella wore pants that were falling down, evidence that they were arrested in their sleep earlier this morning for their alleged roles in Operation Shape Up, an investigation that targeted cocaine and marijuana trafficking from a Wilkes-Barre barbershop.

Rosario, 22, of Nanticoke, and Pezzella, 50, of Nanticoke, were among nine people arraigned on drug related charges today.

State Deputy Attorney General Tim Doherty called the nine people “sub-drug dealers” who got their cocaine and marijuana supply from Ramon Colon, 26, and Colon’s wife, Alexandra Mateo, 21, of Mayflower Crossings in Wilkes-Barre.

Colon worked at the Master Barbershop that was searched by drug agents with the state Office of Attorney General and Luzerne County Drug Task Force last week when Colon and Mateo were arrested.

Doherty said Colon and Mateo obtained large amounts of cocaine and marijuana from New York City and supplied the sub-dealers to sell throughout Luzerne County for more than eight months.

Arrested Monday were Amy Miller, 44, of Downing Street, Plymouth, her son David Atkinson, 23, of Sharpe Street, Alden, Anthony Wisneski, 30, of State Street, Nanticoke, Shannon Wisneski, 36, of Nanticoke, Michael Kane, of Terrace Street, Wilkes-Barre, Kim Fia Chan, 49, of Jackson Road, Shavertown, Steven Moore, 51, of Knox Street, Hanover Township, Rosario and Pezzella.

They were arraigned by District Judge Paul Roberts in Kingston and jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of bail.

Bail was set at $1 million for Chan and Atkinson and bail was set at $500,000 for Miller, Anthony Wisneski, Shannon Wisneski, Kane, Moore, Rosario and Pezzella.

Amy Miller’s other son, John Miller, 26, of Plymouth, was arrested Friday along with Brandon Hynes, 23, of Ashley, and Keith Wasiakowski, 26, of Nanticoke, for their alleged roles in Operation Shape Up.
