Armed robbery in Hazleton

HAZLETON - City police said a man armed with a large knife robbed Pantry Quik on East Diamond Avenue Tuesday night.


A white man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, entered the store at about 10 p.m. and demanded money and cigarettes, police said.


The suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes in an unknown direction.


Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Hazleton police at 459-4940.
