ASHLEY - Police said they seized three marijuana plants 3 to 4 feet high and arrested a man on drug offenses from 11 1/2 Cook St. on Thursday.

George L. Krisanda, 42, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned by District Judge Donald Whittaker in Nanticoke and jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.

Police said they served a search warrant at Krisanda’s residence and found evidence of cultivation inside the house. Three potted marijuana plants and paraphernalia were allegedly found on the rear porch, police said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled on Sept. 24 before District Judge Joseph Halesey in Hanover Township.
