KINGSTON — Police arrested a Shickshinny man on charges he swiped jewelry from a Gibson Street residence where he worked to replace exterior steps.

Mark Sult, 29, of Grange Road, was arraigned late Tuesday on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and theft. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $150,000 bail.

Court records say Sult was out on $75,000 bail on six unrelated cases that include firearm offenses, flight to avoid apprehension, smuggling drugs inside the county correctional facility and thefts when he allegedly burglarized the Gibson Street house and stole jewelry.

Police allege Sult sold four rings and four bracelets at a coin business in Exeter for $439, and two bracelets at a jewelry store in Exeter for $250.
