The Misericordia University cheerleading team enjoyed its best finish in school history at the 2014 Universal Cheerleading Association College Cheer and Dance Team National Championships, held Saturday January 18th in Orlando, FL. The Cougars finished second in the Division III college semi-finals and fell to third after the final round of competition. This was the program’s sixth time completing all elements of qualification to appear at the national event. It was the cougars third consecutive appearance in the final round of competition at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex. The Cougars are coached by head coach Tara Sinclair and assistants Courtney Pentka and Amber Schmidt.
