Dallas graduate Paige Selenski scored goals in all three games to help the U.S. women’s field hockey team go 3-0 in pool play and reach the semifinals of the Pan American Cup in Mendoza, Argentina.
Selenski’s diving effort in front of the cage produced the last goal in a 6-0 rout of Mexico Sept. 21.
Chile scored first in the Sept. 22 game, but the United States rallied for a 5-1 win with Wyoming Seminary graduate Kathleen Sharkey scoring the first goal and Selenski providing the last when she ripped a shot from near the top of the circle.
Selenski, a 2012 U.S. Olympian, and Wyoming Sem graduates Sharkey and Kelsey Kolojejchick scored in Tuesday’s 6-0 win over Uruguay.
The Pan American Cup champion lands a spot in the 2014 World Cup.
