NANTICOKE — Alyssa Shaver scored a goal and assisted Alex Hargrave with another, both coming late in the game as the Wyoming Valley West edged Nanticoke 5-4 in Wyoming Valley Conference girls soccer Tuesday.

Michaela Shonk and Alexis Pileggi chipped in a goal apiece in the win, while Ashlyn Finnegan dished out two assists.

Kayla Aufierio led Nanticoke with two goals. Riley Klepado added a goal and two assists.

Pittston Area 12, Meyers 0

Allie Barber and Sara Ruby scored five goals apiece as Pittston Area defeated Meyers.

Jenny Meck and Maddy Minmaugh each added a goal for Pittston Area, while Taryn Ashby logged five saves in the win.

Crestwood 4, Hanover Area 2

Olivia Termini scored the first two goals to lead Crestwood to a victory over Hanover Area.

Morgan Kile and Gabby Termini added a goal apiece in the win, while Meg White saved three shots in goal for Crestwood.

Tunkhannock 2, Wyoming Seminary 1

Cheyenne Brown scored two goals, including the game winner, to lead the Tigers to a victory over Wyoming Seminary.

Mya Toczko added an assist for Tunkhannock, while Traci Kromko had five saves in the win.


Dallas 3, Tunkhannock 1

A.J. Nardone scored two goals and added an assist as Dallas defeated Tunkhannock.

Matt Saba assisted both of Nardone’s goals, while Nate Wood chipped in a goal for Dallas.

Colton Brown recorded the lone goal for Tunkhannock on an assist from Brian Ly.

Lake-Lehman 3, Meyers 0

Nick Wnuk, Austin Harry and Mike Symeon scored a goal apiece to lead Lake-Lehman to a shutout victory.

Chris Herrick dished out two assists in the win, while Mike Minsavage chipped in one assist for Lehman.

Colin Masters stopped seven shots in goal to secure the shutout.

Wyoming Area 5, MMI Prep 0

Joshua Donvito and Brian Wisowaty logged a goal and an assist apiece as Wyoming Area earned a shutout victory over MMI Prep.

Leo Skoronski, Nick Leon and Gared Zaboski each added a goal in the win, while goalies Aaron Carter and David Klaproth combined for five saves and the shutout.

Eli Dove had 17 saves for MMI Prep in the loss.

Wyoming Seminary 3, Pittston Area 1

Wyoming Seminary fell behind early, but rattled off three straight goals to secure the victory over Pittston Area.

Eduardo Laguna, Andrew Schukraft and Malcolm Lumia scored a goal apiece for the Blue Knights, while Jonathan Roberge added two assists.

Jordan Consagra scored the lone goal for Pittston Area off an assist from Matt Tavalione.
