Kunigonis honored as American Legion Auxiliary Volunteer of the Year

Members of the American Legion Auxiliary of the Wilkes-Barre VA Hospital recently saluted Marion Kunigonis, of Pittston, ALA deputy, with a certificate from the PA American Legion Auxiliary as the 2013 Volunteer of the Year at their monthly Bingo party. Kunigonois, who celebrated her 91st birthday this year, was a former hospital representative and has over 10,000 hours of volunteer service to the VA. She is a member of the Dallas Auxiliary Unit 672. Auxiliary members are, from left, Dorothy Collins, Stephanie Piccoletti, Lucy Petro, of Duryea Unit 585; Ms. Gail Ziegler, chief office of volunteer services; Kunigonis, Ann Edwards, hospital representative and Duryea Unit 585; and Joe Kelly, American Legion representative of Dallas Post 672.
