Dr. Kaitlyn Connors, the daughter of Patrick and Christine Connors of Laflin, received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College on December 7. While attending NYCC, she completed advanced training in Whole Foods Nutrition, kinesiotaping, pediatric chiropractic and women’s health issues.


Dr. Connors is a 2006 graduate of Pittston Area High School where she was a member of both the field hockey and softball teams. She continued her education and athletic career at Susquehanna University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2010. While at Susquehanna University she again competed in varsity field hockey and softball.


Dr. Connors will have office hours at DeMinico Chiropractic Offices in Pittston and Shavertown.


Graduates Basic


Air Force Airman Deseree E. Spaide, great-grandaughter of Helen Galli of Wyoming, graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.


Spaide completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.


Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.


Spaide is the daughter of Debbie and Frank Spaide of Wapwallopen. She is a 2012 graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area High School, Nanticoke.


Dean’s List


Chucky and Colby Morgan, sons of Cathy and Chucky Morgan, Moosic, both were named to the Dean’s List for the Fall Semester.


Chuck attends Scranton University, where he is a junior majoring in Finance and minoring in Electronic Commerce and Colby is a freshman in the honors program at the University of Maryland, majoring in Computer Science.


Both are graduates of Scranton Prep.
