WILKES-BARRE — Grammy award winning band Los Lobos will perform with the Ballet Folklorico Mexicano at the F.M. Kirby Center on March 4 at 8 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now and available through the Kirby Center box office, online at and charge by phone at (570) 826-1100. Tickets prices are $28, $38, and $48, plus fees.

Be there as the Mexican-American Experience is celebrated through song, dance, music and film in this brand-new multimedia production.

This unique concert experience will feature Los Lobos performing a set of traditional Mexican music, accompanied by Ballet Folklorico Mexicano, followed by a second set filled with the band’s classic hits.

Los Lobos were already East L.A. neighborhood legends, Sunset Strip regulars and a Grammy Award winning band (Best Mexican-American/Tejano Music Performance) by the time they recorded their major label debut, “How Will The Wolf Survive?” in 1984.

Three decades, two more Grammys, a worldwide smash single (“La Bamba”) and thousands of rollicking performances across the globe later, Los Lobos is surviving quite well — and still jamming with the same raw intensity as they had when they began in that garage in 1973.

The band chronicles a key moment of their expansive journey on “Disconnected In New York City” — a dynamic live album that marks the band’s 40th anniversary and launches its new association with 429 Records.
