Sketch of serial bank robber released by state police

DUNMORE — State police have released a composite sketch of an alleged serial bank robber responsible for at least a dozen bank robberies in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The robberies began in December 2015, and have occurred in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wayne, and Monroe counties, according to state police. The most recent robbery was in Archbald in Lackawanna County on June 8.

The suspect is described as a white man believed to be over 30 years old, and is over 6 feet tall with medium build.

The Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for tips that leads to the arrest of the suspect.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Pennsylvania State Police in Dunmore at 570-963-3156, or Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4-PA-TIPS.
