WILKES-BARRE — Police are searching for a man who allegedly tried to solicit oral sex from a 17-year-old boy Wednesday near Public Square.

The teen said he was walking in the area of Public Square and South Main Street when he was approached by a man who asked his age, according to police. When the teen said he was 17 years old, the man asked him if he wanted oral sex, police said.

The teen walked away from the man, who continued to follow him until the teen entered a business, police said. The teen told police he didn’t know where the man went after he went into the business.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-9 black male in his 40s.
