HANOVER TWP. — Police were on the scene of an apparent shooting early Saturday morning in the Hanover Village apartment complex.

A resident of the complex, who would not give his name, said he was sitting on his couch when he heard about 15 shots being fired at about 11 p.m. He then heard a vehicle speed away.

The resident went out into the complex’s parking lot and saw a man down on the ground with gunshot wounds in both legs.

The man was later taken away in an ambulance, according to the resident.

Hanover Township and Pennsylvania State Police were on the scene. At least four police vehicles were still at the complex as of 12:40 a.m.

Nine red shotgun shells were discovered at the scene.
