Mary Grabowski

ary Grabowski, of East Main Street, Nanticoke, died Tuesday at the Hospice
Unit at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Oakdale, she was the daughter of the late John and Blanche
(Cwiklik) Pivovar. She was reared and attended schools in Pittsburgh area. She
resided in Nanticoke since 1931. She worked for many years for the Duplan
Corp., Nanticoke, and before retiring, was a seamstress in the local garment
industry. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Church, Nanticoke, and its
Catholic Women’s Council.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Narcis “Nat;” and
brothers, Stanley, Joseph and Frank.
Surviving are her sons, Richard R., Arizona; and Robert N., New Jersey;
four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday from the Stanley S. Stegura
Funeral Home Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian
Burial at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s
Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday.
