WEST WYOMING

Man faces trial in

corruption of minors

A 23-year-old borough man accused of selling or furnishing alcohol to
minors and corruption of minors waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday, and
will stand trial in Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas.

Police said Eric McTague, of West Sixth Street, purchased a bottle of Ice
101 and a six-pack of beer for a male juvenile coworker on Oct. 26. The
juvenile and another male juvenile were found at Dunkin Donuts in West
Pittston in an extremely intoxicated condition.

One of the males was treated at the General Hospital in Wilkes-Barre,
police said. Both were charged with public drunkenness and consumption of
liquor, malt or brewed beverages.

District Justice Carmen Maffei presided at the hearing.
