Fred Chupka went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles in Greater Pittston’s 6-5 win over Nanticoke in a close American Legion Baseball game Friday.

Joe Giavanovis recorded a home run in the win as well.

Mickey Ferrance batted 2-for-4 with two doubles in the effort for Nanticoke.

Lauren Cawley was the winning pitcher and had four hits in the Dureya/Pittston Township win.

Alexa McHugh and Karry Shamnoski both had two hits apiece as well.

Nanticoke was led by Liz Redbinski, who had three hits, and Brinley Sobeck had two hits.

Mountain Top 10, Plains 0

Katie Cozick pitched a one-hitter in the Mountain Top shutout victory, while Kristen Andrews had two hits and three RBI.

Allyson Louiana had the only hit for Plains.

District 31 Major Softball

Back Mountain 4, Greater Wyoming Area 2

Cassandra Konopki had one double and single in the Back Mountain win.

Kendra Saba, Mia Dixon, Olivia Johnson all had singles for Back Mountain.

Harvey’s Lake/Northwest 12, Kingston/Forty Fort 0

Abbey Hogan gave up only two hits pitching and batted 2-for-2 with a double, three runs and two RBI in the Harvey’s Lake/Northwest win.

Hunter Klein was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBI in the win.

Tia Margiewicz had a hit Kingston/Forty Fort.
